TO BUILD OR NOT TO BUILD, THAT IS THE QUESTION
FCIA was given another jungle gym in May this year to erect at one of our schools. On receipt of the jungle gym, we knew which school needed it most. We decided to erect it at Welgemoed Primary in Ceres in June, however, due to bad weather (snow!) we had to wait until October to put it up.

Welgemoed Primary is situated on a farm 40km’s outside of Ceres. There has been a vast improvement at this school since we were last there to paint the classrooms. Morne Syster, the principal, has really made a concerted effort to make sure that his school is well maintained and has the best interests of his students at heart. He told us that he is thankful to FCIA for what we have done, because this has motivated him to carry on maintaining the school and making sure that his students are happy.
It was a hot and windy day, yet we managed to get the jungle gym up and running in record time (2 hours). Many thanks to Glynn Clarke (our team leader/project co-ordinator/Mr Fixit), Cobus Martin for his height (we didn’t need a ladder!), Sello Chilwane (who we dubbed ‘The Jungle Gym Inspector’ due to his white lab coat that he wore while building!), Alan Waltman for his help with the overall construction and to Morne Syster for supplying us with lunch.

A big thank you to Franco for the kind donation. Also a thank you to Os, Louw and Alan for taking the jungle gym down in Tamboerskloof and transporting it to our offices. Your help is much appreciated!
Love & Blessings
