NEVER DESPISE SMALL BEGINNINGS

May was an interesting month with lots of items donated by Airlie Country School in Constantia. The children at Airlie, had to give up their favourite toy to a child in need. Many toys, books, puzzles, clothes, food and stationery were collected and donated to Zolani Faith Mission in Ashton. The joy on these children’s faces was priceless!

Zolani Faith Mission was started from scratch by Angelique Mungy, a teacher who believed her calling was to start a Christian based school in Zolani township, outside Ashton. The school started at the beginning of 2007 with a handful of children and has grown steadily to 50 children as at end April 2008. They are housed in a small run down church and need many items to be donated on a monthly basis. Everything in this school has been obtained through faith that God will provide.

The children are aged between 4 – 6 years of age and are taught the Accelerated Christian Education (ACE) programme. I find it quite amazing how bright these children are at this tender age.

Many thanks once again to Jean and Kate at Airlie Country School for making these children’s lives a little easier, as well as to Bianca Klein for the kind donation of 4 black bags full of children’s clothing.

Love & Blessings
