BRAVING THE SNOWY WEATHER….
On Friday 25 July, FCIA took a leisurely drive to Ceres to drop off scarves and gloves for the children of Fairfield Primary. The excitement levels were high with most of the children not owning a scarf let alone a pair of gloves! Something small that we take for granted is a big deal to these children and with the recent snow in Ceres, the timing was perfect.

A huge thank you goes to all our knitters (an amazing job was done!): Shona Pansegrouw, Tracy Kimbrey, Mrs Thornton, Anri Buitendag, Celeste Botha, Marlize Haasbroek, Beryl Skinner and Magda Bester and to Melanie Bates who contributed by means of donating gloves. A special thank you to Clyde & Linnith Davids who have been supporting us each month, without your donation, we would not be able to reach these schools!
We also had a chance to minister to the children and prayed for healing of a girl, who is frequently ill, due to her living circumstances. We are hoping to be able to help this child and her family more in the near future by supplying them with clothes, blankets, food and medicine.

While we were visiting this school, a consignment of reading books arrived which we were so thankful for, as we believe that ‘to educate a child is to educate a nation’. Many thanks goes to Kids Up, a NPO supplying books to children in rural areas. The work that you are doing is phenomenal! Keep going!
Love & Blessings
