Magda is a receptionist at a leading firm of Chartered Accountants in Cape Town. She says: ’I have long desired to be a part of a company of people who can make a difference to the spiritual, physical and emotional well-being of children; people of integrity and passion.

Children are a precious heritage, not only of their parents, but of the nation. Together we can restore, build, encourage, teach, equip, mentor the young of our land and leave behind us something beautiful. In unity of purpose and passion we can change the face of South Africa and Africa by changing the lives of our children.’

Durrel is a Business Process Engineer working in the Cosmetic Industry. He has volunteered as a Big Brother on numerous occasions to SOS Childrens Village and helps children in need.

He has a love for children and has been an active youth leader in his church for many years. Durrel says: ‘Today’s children are tomorrow’s leaders. Providing the basic needs for children today will secure better leaders for the future in South Africa.’

Charl is an entrepreneur based in Stellenbosch, South Africa. He is a director of Navy Green Design, Clouds Vineyards and Dilivr - a filtered news delivery service.

"I believe that it is all of our responsibility to ensure that no child in this country has to do without at least the basics - Food, Shelter, Clothing and Education."

Bianca is a qualified beauty therapist with her own practice and is a mother to three beautiful children. She is our sounding board when it comes to all things ‘kiddie’ related. Her knowledge and input is invaluable. She has many positive and exciting idea’s to implement in FCIA.

Nikki Mace studied Drama and Psychology at Rhodes University. She decided to travel and taught Drama in London for a number of years before returning home. She currently works for an international marketing consultancy focusing on youth culture.

I am happy to be involved with a FCIA as it’s aim is to change children’s lives in a positive manner.

Charmaine is in full-time ministry and is also a home executive. She teaches at Miracle Bible College and is a mother to 3 boys.

She plays an integral part in FCIA by understanding the needs in rural communities and finds solutions to the social problems that many of these people endure.

Richard is a graphic designer by trade, graduating with a higher Diploma from the AAA School of Advertising Cape Town in 2001. In 2004, he started a design & development company WIP Design (Pty) Ltd. with business partner Charl Immleman.

Four years down the road the company is now trading as NavyGreen Design & Development House, focussing more on online applications and online developments. Richard is married to Meghan and is a father to Hannah Jane (2 years old) and James Durnford (7 months).

Armstrong is the CEO of Uluntu Development International and a consultant at Coral Estate International. He is also the founder of Kingdom Ministries International and an apostle in the market place.

Buhli is a multi-talented businesswoman being a part-owner of Khumbulani Tombstones, a chairwoman of Uluntu Development International, a professional nurse and a pastor of Kingdom Ministries International.

Dali Tembo is a Head Strategist for Instant Grass, which is a youth connectivity and insight agency. He is also a columnist and fashion judge for Pursuit Magazine. Dali, originally from Malawi, understands the issues that face the youth on a daily basis.

He believes that by receiving a little bit from some, often means everything to many. ‘By being a member of FCIA and supporting this cause, is my way of contributing to the youth on our continent.’

One of Tracy's long outstanding passions has been to work with children. Although she has 2 active and busy boys of her own (and that excludes her husband) that keep her on her toes 25hours a day, she wants to further invest in the future of our youth. She therefore believes that the FCIA initiative is an awesome opportunity for her to provide a positive contribution to the community.

Tracy has extensive knowledge of Events Co-ordination due to her 17years of experience in this field. These skills, along with her creative and energetic personality, will be put to good use as she will play an integral role in the planning and organisation of the various projects for FCIA.

 
INTERNATIONAL MEMBERS
 
  kanjii & mwendwa mbugua

Kanjii & Mwendwa are both in full-time ministry. Kanjii is a member of Milele, a gospel group with a huge following in Kenya and in the USA. Mwendwa is the marketing manager for Kijiji Records, a recording studio in Nairobi, owned by Kanjii.

She is also the proud new mommy of Selah, a beautiful little girl. ‘My dream was to continue working with Bron and now we can continue to do so through FCIA.

Christian is based in California and is in full-time ministry as well. He is one of the founding members of Milele and a qualified lawyer. He commutes frequently between the US and Kenya and has started Milele Children’s Village in Nairobi.
